Antique Santa Pin

Many people collect Christmas pins. That is why we created the "Antique Santa Pin." This is a fun and quick project to make. We took part of a "real" antique postcard and used the Santa image for a pin. So, this gives you the look of an antique for pennies a pin.

Many people collect antique postcards so this would also give the postcard collector an opportunity to use their cards in a unique way. Also, You may want to use a vintage Christmas Card for your pin.

This would also be great to use on a bow on your Christmas packages.... please visit the "Decorating Tips" section to see how cute the pin looks on a package.

Let us get started:

    Materials Needed:

    1) Matt board

    2) Antique Santa Postcard (Or Vintage Christmas Card)

(We suggest either scanning a postcard you have or
if you have a postcard that is in bad shape, just use it)

    3) Laminate

    4) Lace

    5) Craft Glue

    6) Pin Back

    7) Scissors

Let's Create:

    1) Cut out the Santa Postcard image from your printout.

    2) Glue the image to your matt board and cut the Santa out, leave a small boarder around the Santa image.

    3) Apply the Laminate.....we let one coat dry for a few hours than applied a second coat which we let dry overnight.

    4) Glue your lace with the craft glue around the image.

    5) Glue your pin back on the back in the center of the pin, let it dry overnight.

    That was quick!
