Interesting Ways To Present A Holiday Gift

Our staff at Living Victorian is trying to make your holiday as stress free as possible with all the tragic events we have faced. So, we have developed a few simple and fun ideas to brighten your holiday packages.

The packaging of a gift is as important as the gift itself. The first impression people get is the packaging before you open the gift. So, the packaging needs to be as special as the gift.

We have developed a few ideas for you to present an interesting package as follows:

1. A CHRISTMAS BASKET

You can make a basket , as we have pictured with a doily and fabric stiffener or just go to your craft store and buy a basket. It is fun to have a few presents wrapped in a basket. The receiver will have a great time searching in the basket for each gift.

2. MAKE UNIQUE GIFT TAGS

Just by using one of our embossers, which is available in the Gift Shop, and one of the Holiday designs you can make great holiday tags. Also, you may want to use the gold stickers we have available, in the Gift Shop, as we have pictured. You can put the embossed stickers on light cardboard and attach 3 Holiday designs with a ribbon which makes a very cute and unique gift tag. A great idea would be to use the embosser tag and have an embosser as a gift.

3. PHOTO PACKAGE DECORATIONS

Copy a baby photo of the person you are giving the package to. You can then use the photo for either a gift tag or to be put on the package as a decoration. It would be great if you have a Christmas photo. This will really be a memorable package.

4. THEME YOUR PACKAGE

If you are giving a piece of jewelry, for instance, put a small antique charm tied to your ribbon on the top or your package. Suppose you are giving a kitchen item, why not put a miniature rolling pin or utensil on the outside of the package. You can usually get the miniature pieces from the craft store. This makes your package not only unique but fun.

Remember, have fun with your packages and don't be afraid to try whimsical and unique ideas.

Happy Wrapping!
