Collecting Stick-Pins

Stick-pins are a great collectible, and still readily available and affordable.

In our ancestor's time, the very fashionable men were the ones wearing most of the stick-pins on their cravat or some type of neck wear.

However, you may notice that many of the stick-pins you see have a delicate quality, which today can be worn by a woman as a pin for your lapel on a jacket or sweater.

Stick-pins in todays market usually cost from $5.00 and up. Of course, as in any type of jewelry if it is a signed piece and in its original box it will command a higher price.

Another way we have seen stick-pins worn by woman of today is assembled in a brooch. The jeweler incorporates many stick-pins into a flower pot etc... and makes them into a most lovely and unusual brooch.

Stick-pins can also be displayed. Because stick-pin holders are hard to find, we have created in our Creation Section (July-Aug 1999), a holder you can make in a matter of minutes. This will give you a place to display your stick pins when not in use.

Collecting stick-pins is one of the few collectables that has affordability, availability and is available in many designs.
