Special Wedding, Anniversary And Bridal Shower Gifts

It is wedding season again and we are trying to get special gifts that will be unique and cherished for years to come.

So, we visited one of our favorite antique stores...Betty Gallagher Antiques* and talked with our very own "Reni" from our "Ask Reni" section to give us some great ideas for gifts.

Reni showed us several wonderful gifts. Why not give a silver plate or sterling silver tea set. This will be a gift that can be enjoyed for a life time! It can be displayed in the dinning room or living room and always look beautiful. Also, what a fantastic gift for a 25th silver anniversary. Also, regarding silver plate you can get a lot for your money with a variety of price points that are considerably lower than sterling silver. However, sterling silver is a real treasure and we be a great gift to start a newly married couple in decorating their home.

Crystal is always sparkling and delightful to give as a gift. Why not give an antique piece of crystal. Have your antique dealer add a card with information regarding the time period of the piece, which will give the happy couple a little piece of history to make your gift extra special.

When we think of a Bridal Shower gift we always think of toasters, towels, irons etc... Why not be the one person who truly gives a special gift. Give a gift of a cameo or strand of pearls. The bride can wear culture pearls for her wedding day and continue to wear them for a lifetime.
